When you open your credit union account you purchase a “share” in the credit union. The required deposit of $10.00 represents your $5.00 member share in the credit union, and a $5.00 account-opening fee.  This account pays dividends on daily balances of $100.00 or more.  Dividends are compounded daily and credited quarterly.
