About Gift Deposits

Campus Cash

Campus Cash is an electronic deposit system for College Students.  It allows people (like your parents) who may not even be members of Christian Financial to make completely secure deposits to your account.  How so?  You designate a  sub account (checking or savings) that the deposits will be made to.  You then set up your own authorization code.  Pass out that code to whomever you like, and those people can make deposits to your account electronically through CFCU's website whenever they like.

Are you a high school senior?  Don't waste any time!  Set up a Campus Cash account before your graduation party and let your guests and those who can't make it make gift deposits 24/7!  Simply distribute Campus Cash Cards inside of your announcements/invitations.  They've got instructions on them for anyone interested in making a gift deposit.

Don't worry - your account and information is completely safe.  They do not have access to see any details of your account.  They can only make deposits using the authorization code and their own account info.  This service is also free to our Fusion members (ages 17-22)!  For complete instructions, scroll down to the bottom of this page.

Wedding Registry

Get the gift you really want to start your future off with - cash!  Every new couple goes through the stresses of combining finances, so let Christian Financial make it easier for you.  Establish your joint account at the credit union and let your friends and family make gift deposits to your account in place of or in addition to purchasing a gift from a standard registry.  It works just like a department store registry.  Either print registry cards yourself or come to any of our six branches to receive a stock of registry cards.  Send the cards out in your invitations just like you would with a department store registry card, and start collecting your gifts!  This is especially ideal for those who are unable to attend - they can give online 24/7.  This is also great for the couple who has already established themselves and have all the housewares they need.

YOURCAUSE

YOURCAUSE is an account that is held at Christian Financial for members who might be hosting a charity benefit event or trying to raise money in support of a charitable cause.  This saves the time and hassle of physically going around to collect donations - just direct potential contributors to our website and they can donate online anytime from anywhere.  You can even print flyers you can customize with your event information!  If you've established a website for your cause, you could also link your donation account to your pre-existing page.

myfirst Account

If there is a child in your life that you would like to help build a solid future for, establish one of our youth savings accounts (Scribbles for ages 0-5, Penny's Pinchers for ages 6-12 or BLAST for ages 13-16) and set that child up with myfirst Account Access.  This gives others who do not have accounts at Christian Financial (like Grandparents or Friends) the ability to make continual deposits to that child's account as he/she grows.  What better way to teach a child the importance of saving and to provide a better financial picture for that young person when they're older?  This account is also great to set up prior to first communions, baptisms or birthday parties.

Church Contributions

Christian Financial Credit Union makes collecting donations for your church easy!  Churches enrolled in our E-Donations program have the ability to allow their parishioners access to pay tithe or donate funds electronically to your churchs' account!  Click here to see if your church is part of our E-Donations Program.

How to Use Gift Deposits

(These instructions do not apply to Church Electronic Donations)

Setting up the account

  • You designate an existing sub account or open a new sub account.  Not a member of Christian Financial yet?  No problem!  Click here to join.  You may opt to give your account a name, such as "Wedding Registry" or the name of your charitable cause.  You can change the name of the account by choosing the Profile menu inside of U@Home Online Banking and selecting "Preferences".  From there, choose "Account Names".  You will see a list of your current accounts.  You may choose to change the names to whatever you would like.
  • Next, you will need to enroll in the Registry service.  To do this, visit the Services menu inside of U@Home Online Banking and select "Options".  From there, select "Service Enrollment" and click on "Registry Service".  You will need to select the Standard Plan and View Disclosures to be enrolled in any of the Gift Deposit services.
  • Now you can set up an authorization code that allows other people to make online deposits to your selected account.  Your authorization code should be unique, but  easy for users to remember.  To do this, visit the Registry menu inside of U@Home Online Banking and select the Gift Deposit System you would like to use.  Click the hyperlink that says "Create a New Authorization Code".  From there, select the account you have designated.  Simply input any code you would like and click "Submit Authorization Code".

Distributing to Gift Depositors

  • Now you're ready to distribute your authorization code.  If you are setting this up prior to a graduation party, wedding or other event, you may get a quantity of Campus Cash or Wedding Registry Cards, or YOURCAUSE flyers to write your authorization code on and distribute along with your announcements/invitations.  These cards/flyers have instructions for the recipients on how to make electronic deposits.  You may also print these at home right from the Registry service menu inside of U@Home Online Banking, or from this page under the respective descriptions below.  You may also opt to simply email out the code.  If this is the case, select your gift deposit service from the Registry menu inside of U@Home and click the icon next to the authorization code labeled "Send Link".  This will automatically create an email with the link and authorization code.
  • The depositor will visit Christian Financial Credit Union's homepage and click on the link labeled "Make a Gift Deposit".  From here, the depositor will arrive at this page and select from the icons at the top.  He/she will then be asked to input the authorization code and will be prompted to input the information from the account the money is coming from.
  • The deposit is made to your account via the ACH network and will be available within 3 business days.
  • If you have opted to pass out Wedding Registry or Campus Cash Account Cards in announcements/invitations, the recipient of the card is directed to insert his/her card in to an envelope or greeting card to be given to you where a gift of cash or check might normally be inserted.  This is also a great way for you to keep track of gifts for "Thank You" cards.

Reviewing the Account

  • You will also be able to see a complete record of your gift depositors.  Do this be visiting the Registry menu inside of U@Home Online Banking and selecting your gift deposit service.  Click on the "Review" icon next to the authorization code.  You will see a list of all deposits received, who they are from and their amounts.  If the gift depositor input an email address, you will be able to click on it and a "Thank-You" email will be automatically initiated.

*PLEASE NOTE:  All gift deposit accounts (with the exception of accounts belonging to members 17-22 years of age or Electronic Church Donations) are subject to a one-time $10 setup fee which will be automatically assessed on the first of the following month.
