ABOUT CHRISTIAN FINANCIAL
Christian Financial Credit Union is proud to be able to impact the Metro Detroit community for over 70 years. We look forward to working hard to continue to meet the needs of our members for many years to come.
Our History
Christian Financial Credit Union began in 1950 as St. Jude’s Parish Credit Union in Detroit, Michigan. Over time, the credit union has continued to grow. In 1998, SERF Credit Union and Northeast Catholic Credit Union merged, and the name Christian Financial was born. In January 2003, CFCU merged with Father Murray Federal Credit Union and St. Mark’s Parish Credit Union. In October 2013, CFCU merged with ARC Credit Union. As of April 1, 2020, our merger with Motor City Co-op Credit Union has grown the credit union to more than 61,000+ members.
Mission & Purpose
Christian Financial’s primary purpose is to empower our members with products and services that make their financial lives easier.
Community Involvement
At Christian Financial Credit Union, making an impact in our community is one of our core values. To do our part in helping local organizations and charities, our Outreach and Impact Committee volunteers their time in the community helping local charities. Our employees also contribute to "Jeans Day" funds and physical donation items. In 2022, we donated more than $100,000 and 1,300 hours back into our communities we serve. Forgotten Harvest, Motown Soup, Kids On The Go, St. Vincent De Paul, and MCREST are just a few of the local charities we are proud to support.
Christian Financial regularly supports community events for families in the cities we serve, including Center Line, Chesterfield, Clinton Township, Harper Woods, Livonia, Macomb, New Baltimore, Novi, Roseville, Shelby Township, Saint Clair Shores, Sterling Heights, Warren, and Washington Township.
