How Do I Join?

If you are interested in becoming a member of Christian Financial, please reach out to us via email at businessdevelopment@cfcumail.org. We are more than happy to walk you through the account opening process! To make the account opening process easier, below you can find a list of items you will need to bring with you. Please be sure to navigate to the type of business that you operate. 
  • Minutes naming the Authorized Signers for the account 
  • Proof of EIN (If opening with an EIN instead of a signer’s SSN) 
  • Valid Picture ID and Social Security Number for all Authorized Signers 
  • Phone Number, Mother's Maiden Name, and E-Mail Address for all Authorized Signers 
  • $15 for your initial account opening ($5 Membership Share and $10 New Member Joining Fee) 
  • Statement of Organization naming Christian Financial Credit Union as Depository 
  • Proof of EIN
  • Valid Picture ID and Social Security Number for the Owner and all Authorized Signers
  • Phone Number, Mother's Maiden Name, and E-Mail Address for the Owner and all Authorized Signers 
  • Valid Picture ID and Social Security Number for all Beneficial Owners (Anyone who owns 25% or higher of the business) 
  • $15 for your initial account opening ($5 Membership Share and $10 New Member Joining Fee) 
  • Articles of Incorporation-Ecclesiastical
  • Letter signed by Pastor or Minutes naming the Authorized Signers for the account 
  • Proof of EIN 
  • Valid Picture ID and Social Security Number for Pastor, all Authorized Signers, and highest person in charge 
  • Phone Number, Mother's Maiden Name, and E-Mail Address for Pastor, all Authorized Signers, and highest person in charge 
  • $15 for your initial account opening ($5 Membership Share and $10 New Member Joining Fee) 
  • Articles of Incorporation
  • Proof of EIN
  • Valid Picture ID and Social Security Number for the Owner and all Authorized Signers
  • Phone Number, Email Address, and Mother's Maiden Name for Owner and all Authorized Signers
  • Valid Picture ID and Social Security Number for all Beneficial Owners (Anyone who owns 25% or higher of the business)

  • DBA/Sole Proprietor Business Certificate 
  • Letter signed by Owner naming Authorized Signers for the account, if applicable 
  • Proof of EIN (If opening with an EIN and not an SSN) 
  • Valid Picture ID and Social Security Number for the Owner and all Authorized Signers
  • Phone Number, Mother's Maiden Name, and E-Mail Address for the Owner and all Authorized Signers, if applicable

Other Resources

Christian Financial Credit Union has partnered with the Michigan Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to offer a starting place for our members who are interested in exploring the possibilities of entrepreneurship, but who don't completely understand what's involved. The Michigan SBDC provides confidential, no-cost counseling to small businesses, along with assistance in gathering secondary research information and offering training programs that aid in business development.
