Paint your front door. 

Your front door is the focal point of your home—it deserves some love! Painting your front door a bold color will divert the eye to it, making it a central point. Try making a great impression to your guests with a bold, welcoming front door color.  

Change out or update your hardware. 

A budget friendly way to up your space is to change out the hardware on items around your home. You can switch out the doorknobs, handles on cabinets, or even outlet and switch plate covers. If you want to get crafty, you can spray paint your existing hardware.  

Update your bathroom (on a budget). 

A fresh coat of paint on the walls, new shelves, and a new shower curtain are all your bathroom needs for a quick update on a budget. If you have a vanity that needs some updating, but you’re not quite at the point to fully replace it, a coat of paint does wonders! 

Add some greenery. 

Plants are a great way to add some life to a home! You can even add some plant shelves near a window for a quick accent wall. Try thrifting for some plant pots or visit a local nursery for options. 

Don’t forget the exterior. 

The exterior of your home is just as important as the interior! A great way to freshen up the exterior of your home is to give it a quick wash. You can rent a power washer by the hour at your local hardware store. Nothing says “Spring Cleaning” like a freshly washed home. You can also take the time to freshen up your mailbox post (if you have one) with a coat of oil-based paint or update your address plate for a quick weekend DIY project.
