FRAUD ALERT MESSAGING

Christian Financial's first priority is the safety of our member's finances. Our Debit Card Fraud Alerts will send a text message to members when there is suspicious activity regarding their Christian Financial debit card. This new service will help better protect your card from unauthorized transactions and expedite the process of suspicious transaction verification.

How do you know the text message is from Christian Financial?

• The text will say it is from Christian Financial and ask you to verify a recent purchase by responding “Yes’ for authorized or “No” for unauthorized.
• In the case of an unauthorized transaction, responding with "No" will block your card to prevent further unauthorized transactions. 

What should I do if I'm suspicious of an email, text message or phone call?

Do not reply to an email, phone call or text message that asks the following:

• Asks for personal or account information either directly in the email or on a website that the email sends you to

• Threatens to close or suspend your account if you do not take immediate action

• Asks you to confirm, verify or update your account, card number, PIN, online banking credentials or billing information

• ​Prompts you to call and a "representative" proceeds to ask for personal or account information (not to simply have you validate charges).

• Prompts you to click a hyperlink to an unknown website or provides you a phone a number as a hyperlink.
