
Christian Financial Awards $30,200 in Community Grants
Sterling Heights, Mich., (Aug. 8, 2025) – Christian Financial Credit Union Outreach & Impact Foundation recently awarded $30,200 in grants to local nonprofits, driving a meaningful change in the community. This round of funding highlights the Foundation’s ongoing dedication to advancing financial wellness, improving quality of life, supporting stable housing, and uplifting the next generation.
The following organizations were selected as recipients of the Christian Financial Credit Union Outreach & Impact Foundation grants:
- Higher Ground Abodes: $2,500 to fund 15 new windows in affordable housing for young adults aging out of foster care while they pursue their college degree.
- St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church – Food Pantry: $3,000 to restock pantry shelves with nutritious food for families facing food insecurity.
- Habitat for Humanity Detroit: $5,200 to purchase materials for a home rehabilitation project in Detroit, with CFCU volunteers assisting with the build in July 2025.
- Michigan Urban Youth Alliance: $1,000 to support the Playing Together To Evolve Together event, covering promotion, entertainment, t-shirts, refreshments, and facility rental.
- The Martha T. Berry Foundation: $2,000 to fund a Mobii Magic Sensory System, enhancing therapeutic care for residents with dementia at the Martha T. Berry Medical Care Facility.
- Macomb Habitat for Humanity: $8,500 to support home rehabilitation, including electrical upgrades and installation of a 95% energy-efficient furnace.
- New Hope Center for Grief Support: $2,500 to fund supplies for their Annual Kids Camp, which helps children cope with the loss of a loved one.
- Kids On The Go: $2,500 to support Teens to Work, a program providing life skills and job readiness training for teens with special needs.
- Champ Life: $3,000 to help fund Campership and Kids Club Programs, offering safe shelter, essentials, and support for children recovering from abuse.
These recent grant awards reflect the Christian Financial Outreach & Impact Foundation’s unwavering commitment to strengthening communities by investing in organizations that address essential and diverse community needs. Whether it is promoting housing stability, advancing youth empowerment, improving quality of life, or supporting financial wellness, each partnership underpins the Foundation’s mission to foster lasting change and opportunity across Metro Detroit.

Since 2022, the Christian Financial Credit Union Outreach & Impact Foundation has awarded $200,113 to area nonprofits. The Foundation actively seeks nonprofit organizations aligned with these priorities.
