Our Outreach & Impact Foundation was founded to support families of all kinds in the communities we serve. Established as an arm of Christian Financial, our Foundation allows us to invest in the organizations and programs who provide solutions for these essential needs.
$2,000 to support the funding of The Young Person’s Horsemanship Program at Last Acres Farm, enriching the educational experience of students with disabilities through equine-assisted learning.
Founded in 1986, the Novi Educational Foundation supports programs that enhance the educational experience of every Novi student beyond standard district funding.
$4,000 to support the Stream Leaders program for students in Macomb County. This CRWC-led initiative introduces K–12 learners to environmental science through hands-on water quality monitoring at a local stream twice a year, in May and October.
The Clinton River Watershed Council is a local nonprofit based in Rochester Hills, Michigan. CRWC was first created in 1972 and for more than 50 years, CRWC has been dedicated to improving water quality with the mission to protect, enhance, and celebrate the Clinton River, its watershed, and Lake St. Clair.
$3,000 to support purchasing food for their pantry, representing one-quarter of their annual food budget.
Founded in 2018 by Felician Sisters Sr. Felicity Marie Madigan and Sr. Shelley Marie Jeffrey, DGMD operates on the east side of Detroit, offering a choice-based food pantry that serves families with fresh produce, meats, dairy, and pantry staples – free of charge.
$3,600 to support granting a wish for a child in need.
The Jenna Kast Believe in Miracles Foundation was founded in 2005 by two 11 year old boys whose goal was to bring a smile to the face of a child who is suffering. The Foundation was created to let children and their families know that they are not alone in their battles, that they are praying for them and fighting for them.
$5,000 to support Hope Center initiatives, including the Providence Learning Center and the Family Resource Center.
House of Providence is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing residential care for children in foster care and programs that support vulnerable families.
$3,000 to support upcoming holiday literacy events for local families and children.
Epiphany Education Center provides academic intervention strategies to elementary and middle students who are at-risk, have disabilities, and victims of trauma.
$500 to support Lift The Block’s Meals on the Block and Diaper & Hygiene Support programs, helping families throughout Wayne County.
Lift The Block is a community-centered nonprofit dedicated to uplifting children, women, and families across Detroit. Their mission is rooted in compassion, dignity, and the belief that every household deserves access to essential resources and opportunities. They serve as trusted support for families facing everyday challenges, offering programs designed to meet immediate needs while creating pathways for long-term stability.
$2,000 to support families facing one-time emergencies with critical expenses such as rent, utilities, or car repairs.
The St. Vincent De Paul Detroit-Resurrection Conference keeps neighbors in their homes by helping them with past-due expenses. Their goal is to help families return to financial self-sufficiency.
$2,500 to support access to healthcare, sobriety support, educational opportunities, and life skills resources for women experiencing economic hardship and recovery challenges.
Haven Homes of Detroit, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, empowers women to heal from the trauma of trafficking and exploitation by providing safe housing, supportive communities, access to resources, and the skills needed to reclaim their lives and build a brighter future.
$1,200 to support the funding of production and rehearsal materials such as costumes, props, and set-building supplies for student performances.
Que Blackout Youth Theater is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through stagecraft, performing arts, and media, helping underprivileged students turn their creativity into real-world skills.
$1,000 to support the direct costs of Love For a Child’s programming for foster children in Macomb and Oakland Counties.
Founded in 2012, this faith-centered nonprofit exists to walk alongside Michigan’s foster children, youth, and families—many of whom have endured trauma, abuse, abandonment, or neglect. They meet them in their moment of need, not with quick fixes, but with presence, purpose, and a promise to stay.
$500 to support literacy and educational training for students and participants, sustaining year-round programs and learning sessions.
Hard Court Hitters, CTA is a Detroit based 501c3 non-profit organization. They work to support individuals, families, and communities in whatever capacity is needed, such as education, clothing, shelter, or a listening ear.
$500 to support pregnant mothers without insurance so they can receive prenatal care for a healthy mother and baby.
Crossroads Care Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization, pregnancy medical clinic. Their medical services are provided by licensed health care professionals, including a Board-Certified Physician in obstetrics and gynecology.
$2,000 to support the purchase of materials for comfort bags, distributed to support children in crisis.
Susie Q’s Kids, Inc. was founded in memory of Susan McBride-Welsh, whose passion for helping children led her to make a positive impact on their lives. The organization strives to make a difference by supporting children and young adults who may be struggling emotionally, physically, or mentally. By distributing comfort bags to children in a variety of situations, Susie Q’s Kids seeks to improve and brighten their lives, and empower them with the strength they need to overcome their challenges.
$5,200 to support the purchase of materials for a home rehabilitation project in Detroit, with CFCU volunteers assisted with the build in July 2025.
Habitat for Humanity is an international, non-profit, Christian-based organization whose mission is to provide low-income families with decent, affordable housing in which they can raise their families. Habitat for Humanity Detroit brings together people to build homes, communities and hope.
$2,000 to support the purchase of a Mobii Magic Sensory System. This interactive tool will enhance therapeutic care for residents with dementia and cognitive impairments.
The Martha T. Berry Foundation was created in 2011. The foundation’s mission is to support the work of the facility by providing necessary resources for both healthcare and quality of life improvements. Over the years, the Foundation has helped fund everything from specialized rehabilitation equipment to new programs that foster social engagement, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity for residents.
$2,500 to support their Teens to Work program, helping teens with special needs build job and career readiness skills.
Kids On The Go is a non-profit organization that provides physical, occupational, speech and recreational therapy services to children with special needs (ages 3-17) when school-based services are not offered. Kids On The Go (KOTG) was founded in 1999.
$2,500 to support their Annual Kids Camp, helping children heal after the loss of a loved one.
New Hope Center for Grief Support was founded in 2000 by Cathy Clough. Our vision as a bereavement resource center for Southeast Michigan is to see those who’ve come through our program create a safe, understanding community for others in grief.
$8,500 to support the rehab of a home, helping a local family secure safe, affordable housing.
Macomb County Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. We are helping families to give them a “hand up not a handout” by helping them to secure affordable housing, improve their quality of life through education, and provide their children with more opportunities to succeed.
$3,063 to support supplies for their Keeping-It-Clean program, which mobilizes volunteers to clean up trash throughout Macomb and Oakland County.

$5,000 to support training for new Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers, helping prepare them to provide a consistent, caring presence and strong voice for children in the foster care system.
CARE House of Oakland County is a nonprofit dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect through advocacy, intervention, and treatment services for vulnerable children and families.
$750 to host a splash party at the Wayne County Aquatic Center in Detroit, providing a safe, inclusive summer outing for children with special needs.
For Kids Like Me is a nonprofit organization that supports children with various special needs through tutoring, school advocacy based on IEPs, and six annual community events that ensure access to safe, barrier-free experiences.
$1,638 to help fund the basic needs of FAN participants, including deodorant, bath/body wipes, snacks, and water.
Face Addiction Now (FAN) is a nonprofit organization supporting individuals affected by Substance Use Disorder (SUD). FAN carries out its mission through specialized teams and provides compassionate, community-based services and resources.
$3,000 to help restock shelves with nutritious food for families facing food insecurity in the local community.
St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church – Food Pantry has a facility that consists of a 2700 sq. warehouse & offices. We serve Clinton Township, Fraser & Mt. Clemens with nutritional groceries, help with resources directing clients to agencies to fit their situation.
$500 to support youth programs that provide resources, remove participation barriers, and encourage community engagement in the Detroit area.
Aktive Minds Foundation (AMF) is a Metro Detroit nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide quality programs and resources to the youth and families in the Detroit area, while actively working to eliminate barriers for youth participation and encourage community engagement.
$2,000 to support their food pantry and help families with rent and utility assistance.
St. Faustina Conference, St. Vincent de Paul helps assist neighbors in need with rent, utilities or other needs to keep them in their homes. St. Faustina Conference is a part of the South Macomb District SVdP and we work with other Catholic parishes to serve households in Warren, St. Clair Shores and Roseville.
$2,500 to support the Young Griots Visual Storytelling Workshop for high school students, teaching storytelling through visual arts to youth from low-income communities.
The Young Griots program teaches the fundamentals of creative thinking and refines the skills inherent to storytelling — be it writing or visual arts. Ongoing workshops are developed for 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students who have an interest in learning and applying these tools in their current academic practices and beyond, as storytelling is a key asset in any career path. The Downtown Detroit Partnership 501(c3) is the fiduciary.
$1,500 to support food security and housing stability for families facing cancer-related financial hardship.
Since 2007, New Day Foundation for Families has provided Michigan families with financial assistance, emotional support, and resource navigation to help ease the burdens of cancer. With New Day, no one fights alone.
$5,000 to support the purchase of new laundry machines and apartment supplies for Vista Maria’s Shepherd Hall Transitional Living Program, which provides affordable housing and supportive services for young women in Southeast Michigan.
Vista Maria has served the community for over 139 years, evolving from a home for girls and women in need to a comprehensive organization focused on education, enrichment, and advocacy for youth. SHTLP is the only program of its kind in the greater Detroit area, helping young women who have aged out of the child welfare system transition to independent, healthy lives in a safe, supportive environment.
$1,000 to support the WAVE Project’s mobile Essentials Van program, which distributes new clothing and hygiene kits to individuals experiencing homelessness in Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties.
Founded in 2018, WAVE Project began with a mission to provide mobile showers to those in need. Since then, it has expanded to include the Essentials Van and the Macomb County Winter Shelter, helping increase access to vital resources for people facing housing insecurity.
$5,000 to support The Rainbow Connection’s Special Response Program, providing urgent assistance with food, clothing, utilities, transportation, housing, and more for families in crisis.
Established in 1985, The Rainbow Connection is a Michigan-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that grants wishes to children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses, while also responding to essential needs identified by hospital professionals.
$3,000 to support their Campership program, which gives children in foster care or at risk the chance to attend camp—providing mentorship, life skills, and a safe, encouraging environment to grow and thrive.
Champ Life is a local Non-Profit Organization that serves elementary aged children in our local community. Champ Life is a residential summer camp program especially designed for foster children. We also host weekly Kid Clubs for children in need. All of our programs are geared for success in building self-esteem and recognizing the special needs of children who have been abused, abandoned, neglected or at-risk. Champ Life is completely funded by the contributions of its supporters.
$1,000 to assist with workshops and seminars for people that are struggling with sexual abuse, domestic violence and other mental health issues.
House of Angels 1 Inc. is a nonprofit organization that service & collaborate with other community organizations & schools to bring Prevention, Awareness & Education through workshops, seminars groups, Life Coaching & Mental Wellness on Teen Violence.
$2,500 to help purchase 15 new windows for a home providing debt-free, affordable housing to young adults aging out of foster care while pursuing college.
We promote shared housing through grants, training, and our first recently purchased home. Thanks to sponsorships, fundraising, and community good-will, we’ve avoided debt, furthering our ability to renovate the home while keeping the rents within reach.
$1,000 to support their Playing Together To Evolve Together event, bringing inner-city youth and law enforcement together through sports and community engagement.
The mission of Michigan Urban Youth Alliance is to bridge the gap between government agencies and the community through creative expression. We use traditional and innovative practices to cultivate a pathway to higher education and meaningful careers fostering a positive impact on the arts, sports, education, and human services in our community. Over the past two years, WHOH Detroit has made significant progress in the city of Detroit.
