Shred Day Is Coming This June!

Give Identity Theft the Boot – Shred Day Is Here!

Are you holding onto documents you no longer need because throwing them away doesn’t feel safe? You’re not alone – many people hesitate to toss paperwork because they’re unsure whether it’s truly safe.

The concern is valid. Throwing old bank statements, credit card offers, medical records, or tax documents in the trash can expose personal information. Identity theft and fraud often start when criminals gather sensitive details from improperly discarded paperwork, turning even everyday documents into a risk.

That’s why Christian Financial Credit Union is hosting a Shred Day for our members in June – to provide a safe, secure way to dispose of sensitive documents and help protect you from identity theft and other unwanted financial risks.

Why Shredding Matters

Throwing documents in the trash leaves your personal information vulnerable. Fraudsters piece together names, addresses, account numbers, and even signatures from mail or documents that people fail to dispose of securely. Shredding helps:

  • Prevent identity theft and fraud
  • Protect your financial and personal information
  • Preserve peace of mind knowing your documents are securely destroyed.

Take the guesswork out of document disposal by shredding items you no longer need with confidence.
