Spring 2026 Grant Awardees Announced

Sterling Heights, Mich., (May 4, 2026) – The Christian Financial Credit Union Outreach & Impact Foundation announced its newest round of grants to local organizations that play a vital role in strengthening the community. These grants reflect the Foundation’s commitment to promoting financial wellness, improving quality of life, and empowering future generations.

The following organizations were selected as spring 2026 recipients of the Christian Financial Credit Union Outreach & Impact Foundation grants:

  • The Jenna Kast Believe in Miracles Foundation: $3,600 towards granting a wish for a child in need.
  • Susie Q’s Kids: $2,000 for materials for comfort bags, distributed to support children in crisis.
  • Lift The Block Organization: $500 will directly support Lift The Block’s Meals on the Block and Diaper & Hygiene Support programs, helping families throughout Wayne County.
  • Macomb County Habitat for Humanity: $10,000 will provide a full kitchen renovation in a Warren home, covering everything from the backsplash and sink to new appliances, flooring, paint, and furniture.
  • Love for a Child: $1,000 will help support the direct costs of Love For a Child’s programming for foster children in Macomb and Oakland Counties. These funds will support trauma‑informed activities, including supplies, materials, meals and snacks at program events.
  • Clinton River Watershed Council: $4,000 will help ensure the Stream Leaders program remains available to students in Macomb County. This CRWC-led initiative introduces K–12 learners to environmental science through hands-on water quality monitoring at a local stream twice a year, in May and October.
  • Habitat For Humanity Detroit: $5,200 in funding will help purchase the materials needed to renovate a home in Detroit, contributing to greater access to affordable homeownership. CFCU volunteers will join the build team in July to support this effort.

These grants highlight the Foundation’s commitment to uplifting the community by supporting organizations that meet a wide range of local needs. Through this continued support, the Christian Financial Outreach & Impact Foundation helps ensure that meaningful resources are available to those who rely on them most. By partnering with organizations that share their commitment to stable housing, enhanced quality of life, youth empowerment, and financial wellness, CFCU continues to advance its mission of enriching lives and building brighter futures for all.

“When we support organizations that serve with heart, we amplify the good happening in our community,” said Christine Quitter, vice president of community outreach at Christian Financial. “By investing in these partners, we’re helping expand opportunities, stability, and hope for individuals and families across Metro Detroit.”

“We are deeply grateful to the Christian Financial Credit Union Outreach & Impact Foundation for this generous support,” said Helen Hicks, President and CEO of Macomb County Habitat for Humanity. “A fully renovated kitchen is more than a home improvement; it’s a fresh start for a family working toward stability. This grant allows us to create a safe, functional space where a partner family in Warren can thrive for years to come.”

To date, the Christian Financial Credit Union Outreach & Impact Foundation has awarded $276,140 to area nonprofits. The Foundation actively seeks nonprofit organizations aligned with these priorities.
